Nature reserves
Today there are several nature reserves in close or direct connection to Kjerringøy. These are Strandå/Os scenery protection area, Strandåvassbottn and Karlsøyvær. These are areas, which are protected by special rules, and traffic isn’t allowed the whole year through.
It is very important that we all together can cooperate in protecting these fragile and unique areas in the best way possible!
We ask therefore that you respect the rules concerning these areas.
